Plato’s ballroom
Plato’s ballroom tracks are performed live using software synthesizers and recorded in single takes with no editing after the fact;
I wanted to give myself more strict boundaries, pick an instrument of choice and freely experiment while you get to know it deeper and deeper. The idea is, I am going to set stuff up and press ‘record’ and whatever I’m drawn to in that moment, that’s what it is.
A piece begin, I play, the piece stops. This is it.
I don’t want the sound to get over-processed, over polished, over thought, the more I grow up the more I am after that simple idea, to me music is like a mantra, meditation, a healing place.
